We are excited to provide you with this convenient tool to access your benefits information and to help you understand your benefit plans effective October 1, 2026. The Army strives to enhance its benefits for employees and is proud of the core Medical/Vision, Dental, and Life/AD&D benefits offered to full-time employees.

Open Enrollment is August 10 – September 4, 2026

During open enrollment, you can:

Newly enroll in coverage

Change plans

Add or drop dependents

Open enrollment is the one time during the year you can make changes to your benefits without experiencing a qualified life event such as marriage, divorce, or birth of a child.

This year’s enrollment is a passive enrollment

Your current benefits will automatically carry over to the new plan year, unless you make changes.

Self-service will be available in UKG or you can contact your local HR representative for assistance before 9/4.

However, you must re-enroll in the or flexible spending accounts (FSA) if you want to fund one in the new plan year; open enrollment for the FSA is during November since it is on a 1/1 renewal cycle.

Benefit for Kaiser & Anthem Members - Telehealth

Kaiser and Anthem members have access to – Telehealth. Members can virtually see and speak with a doctor using real-time audio and video technology to obtain a diagnosis and in some cases necessary prescriptions for minor medical need including allergies, sinus and bladder infections, and other conditions.

Delta Dental - of CALIFORNIA

Our Dental plan is through Delta Dental of California. Make sure your Dentist is aware of the ‘of California’ distinction when confirming coverage and processing claims.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dependent Eligibility - Which Of My Family Members Can I Add To My Benefits?

If you are an eligible employee, you may enroll the following dependents:

  • Your lawful spouse or registered domestic partner
  • Your children up to age 26 (regardless of student or marital status), including a stepchild, legally adopted child, or a child whom you are the legal guardian. Coverage for dependent children terminates the end of the month in which they turn 26.
  • Your unmarried child over age 26 if medically incapacitated

Who Is Allowed To Enroll In Benefits?

You are eligible to participate if you are a full-time employee (non-officer) working at least 30 hours per week.

If you are a new employee, you must elect benefits within 30 days of your date of hire. The elections you make for yourself and eligible dependents are effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Can I Change My Benefits During the Year?

If you experience a qualifying event, you can make mid-year changes to your benefit elections.

Qualifying life events include, but are not limited to:

  • Birth or adoption of child
  • Marriage, divorce, or legal separation
  • Change in eligibility or employment status
  • Death of your spouse or covered child
  • Loss of other health coverage

You must notify Human Resources within {30} days of the qualifying event to make changes to your coverage. You will need to provide documentation of the event, such as a marriage license, divorce decree, or birth certificate. Benefit changes must be consistent with the qualifying event.

How Can I Save Money with Tax-Free Accounts (FSAs)?

4Keep more of your paycheck by using pre-tax FSA and HSA dollars to pay for eligible expenses.

For 2026, the contribution limits are:

  • Health care FSA: $3,400
  • Dependent care FSA: $7,500
